Your Cup of Coffee Helped Camp Casey Support Children with Cancer

camp-caseyBeing a local business ourselves, we know the importance of supporting local. Which is why we continue to chose local charities to spread the awareness of their greatness. Today, we would like to showcase Camp Casey.

Camp Casey is a nonprofit organization inspired by Casey Forte. Casey was a 10 year old girl battling brain and bone cancer. During the last few years of her life, she was introduced to a horse farm where she spent most afternoons grooming and riding her favorite horse. Interacting with the horse was not only therapeutic for Casey, but was also for her family watching Casey connect with the horses during their difficult fight. Casey passed away shortly after her 12th birthday.

camo-casey-logoCamp Casey has many phenomenal programs for children like Casey. The Horsey House Call takes a horse to the child’s home where they are provided with an arts&crafts project and food. The Cowboy Camp Out provides an overnight mini vacation at Dude Ranch Resorts in which all planning and expenses are paid for by Camp Casey. The Outlaw Outing is where families enjoy a planned activity log such things as apple orchards, professional sports games and museums.

With your donation at The Office Coffee Shop, you helped provide a child with a Horsey House Call. Don’t stop there! You can volunteer and/or donate by visiting Camp Casey’s website, www.camp-casey.org.
