Skillbinder has grown from a concept to reality at The Office Coffee Shop through hard work, networking, and bringing value to individuals and business. Now Skillbinder is in 4 key markets in the state of Michigan: Royal Oak, Detroit, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids.
What is Skillbinder? Skillbinder is a place where business professionals can meet and share ideas on a variety of topics. No selling, no lectures, no egos. My philosophy is that professional growth starts by learning from others. The Skillbinder Professional Development Network is the first step.
Founded by Gabriel Grijalva, the focus is to help business professionals enhance their skills in leadership, public speaking, process improvement, technology and personal branding. 
Skillbinder hosts a variety of meet ups and workshops across the state including right here at OCS. When asking Gabe why he started SkillBinder he stated
“Throughout my career, I noticed that business professionals (including myself) struggled with the “soft skills” such as leadership, challenging the status quo, communication, branding and development. Leaders were constantly putting out fires, employees were getting frustrated because nothing ever changed, and very rarely people stepped out of their comfort zone to learn new skills. Now the business environment has changed and people are taking on more responsibility with less resources. Those companies that stick with the status quo end up falling behind and have to scramble to catch up.”
